CIRCOLO LA TANA Nato per
iniziativa di alcuni villeggianti, in una lontana sera dell' Agosto del 1974, il
Circolo Ricreativo La Tana ha festeggiato nel 2009 i suoi primi 35 anni di
attività.
Durante tutti questi anni il Circolo ha svolto un importante ruolo nella vita di
Ascona proponendosi come motore di tutte le attività volte ad animare e
migliorare la qualità della vita in e del paese, il tutto senza fini di lucro.
Oltre ad organizzare manifestazioni rivolte ai propri iscritti, La Tana ha
partecipato alla vita quotidiana del paese collaborando ai lavori per l'energia
elettrica, per l'acquedotto e la pavimentazione del villaggio, centro di ritrovo
di giovani e anziani, residenti e villeggianti.
I grandi eventi dell'estate Asconese organizzati dal circolo La Tana rimangono
la sagra della Polenta che si svolge ogni anno il 16 Agosto sui prati di Pozzo
richiamando centinaia di soci e la Sagra della Piadina in concomitanza della
festa patronale.

IL CIRCOLO LA TANA
Born out of the initiative of some holidaymakers one evening in August 1974, the
"La Tana Recreative Circle" celebrates its 35th year.
During these years the Circle has played an important role in the life of Ascona,
being the driving force behind all its activities. Its goal has been to enliven
and improve the quality of life in the village without profit.
Other than organise events for its members, La Tana has participated in the
daily life of the village by collaborating in the efforts to provide electrical
energy and maintain the acqueduct, pave the streets of the village, and
construct the meeting hall where residents and holidaymakers, young and old
alike gather. The more important events organised by La Tana are the feast of
Polenta and the feast of Piadina. The former is held every year on the 16th of
August in the fields of Pozzo, attracting hundreds of members. The latter is
held during the feast of Ascona’s patron saint every third Sunday of September.
